  11. General notes:
  12.     -   This is a 'preview' release of TBAV-for-Windows 6.50, which will
  13.         have a completely new designed heuristic engine.
  14.         The actual reason for this preview release is that we added
  15.         detection for four currently quickly spreading viruses: NightFall,
  16.         ByWay, WordMacro.Concept, Media.
  17.  
  18.     -   This release introduces the final evaluation version of
  19.         TBAV-for-Windows95 ! After three months of beta-testing we are
  20.         now ready to start shipping our native 32-bit anti-virus
  21.         application, with full support of the Windows95 features.
  22.  
  23.         By the end of September we will have all the advanced features of
  24.         TBAV-for-Windows, like the Background scanning, Application Execution
  25.         Tracker and File I/O monitor, implemented in the Windows95-version
  26.         of TBAV!

  28.     -   NEW EMAIL ADDRESS!!!
  29.         In order to provide you better service we have a dedicated
  30.         support E-Mail address. Instead of using the address of the main
  31.         developers of TBAV or TBAV-for-Windows you should use the

  35.     -   We have a WWW-server up and running! Besides the 24 hours a day
  36.         support via CompuServe, we have set up a WWW server to provide

  40.     -   The printed manual has been completely rewritten. It covers
  41.         TBAV-for-Dos, TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-Networks. If you are
  42.         using the old printed manual, we advise you to contact your
  43.         local distributor to get a updated manual.

  45.     -   The electronic manual provided with TBAV-for-Dos has been
  46.         revised. Those of you who once printed the "TBAV.DOC" file,
  47.         are advised to print out this new electronic manual. Please note
  48.         that this electronic manual only covers TBAV-for-Dos. The
  49.         manuals for TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-Networks are formed
  50.         by the Windows-based .HLP-files for these products.

  64.         operates together with TBAVWIN, allows you to implement a secure
  65.         anti-virus system on your network! An evaluation version of
  66.         TBAV-for-Networks V6.38 is available (without charge!) from the
  67.         ThunderBYTE support BBS! Get TBAVN638 or contact your local
  68.         distributor for more information!
